"Great pram for 2 kids"
Reviewed by Pippy&Woof | 3 March 2011
I have the Phil & Ted single Dash pram with the doubles kit, as I have a 2.5 year old and almost 1 year old (have been using it since the baby was born). There are lots of nice 2-wheeler prams, however a lot of them have a very wide wheel base and I think that would drive me crazy! So we went with the Dash, and have been really happy with it. It's a lot bigger than my little Maclaren stroller, but really very easy to put up and take down. Once u get the toddler seat all set up it does make it very easy to go out for the day with the 2 kids, as both can take a nap. My kids are far too tall to lay back in the toddler seat now (their head would hit the bar) but that doesn't seem to bother either of them. There is not a lot of room in the shopping basket if u have the toddler seat on the back (as the child has their feet in the shopping basket), but I still manage to fit a fair bit of stuff in there and the kids just have their feet to the side. And when the toddler seat is not in use I still put it on as it makes for great extra storage for shopping and bags etc. All in all this has been a great pram for us, and there are lots of accessories available. i have both a single sun shade and a double sun shade, but I never use the double as it's too much bulk to put on and the child in the toddler seat just pulls at it. Have bought a travel bag for the pram as we plan to take it on a plane this year, but it will be a pain to put it in there as u have to take wheels off etc and get grease all over u! But that's just all part of the fun I guess. One suggestion I would make is to make sure u lubricate the front wheel regularly, as it gets a bit stiff and hard to steer (happened when I first bought it and it was impossible to steer!!), and make sure u take some extra lubricant on holidays if u are taking it apart to put it in the travel bag as the lubricant comes off a bit when u have to take the wheels off. Would be such a pain to have a badly steering pram on holidays with u!!
