Parent Reviews and Comments

After reading some excellent reviews on Productreview I am ultimately a little disappointed with this nappy - probably because I built up expectations too much.

Initially I had problems with wee leakage around the legs, which I've not had with any other nappy in my stash. It seemed to wick through, but stopped doing so after about 4 wears.

I haven't found the microfibre insert to be very absorbent and I always boost it with a newborn insert from one of my bumgenius nappies.

I don't like the fold over top for sizing on littlies. Fiddly and bulky compared to other OSFMs which have rows of snaps at the front for sizing.

They dry really quickly, and the price is good with the NZ exchange rate.

Overall, not a bad nappy, and I still prefer pockets to fitteds and covers, but I haven't been back to buy more.

I was given a trial pack of these nappies from my work when I left on maternity leave.  I think it was the best present I got!  I started using the nappy when my son was around 8 weeks old and it felt so nice to put something so soft on him, the next change we were back to sposies so I could wash the cloth nappy and as soon as I put the crunchy sposie on I knew I would HAVE to buy more Rudeys.  My husband was keen (not that he changes nappies lol) because of the money we'd save.  I agree with the previous reviewer, the exchange rate does help as these aren't the cheapest brand on the market.  We got an 18 pack which came with lots of extras.  we use them fulltime now, and even recently took them on holiday to the Grandparents, my mother in law was very impressed (for once haha)

I have tried a few different types of cloth nappies, and these once are the best! They are absorbent, and most important keeps the baby's bum dry! They are a good price too, with the New Zealand dollar being low at the moment. When I first got them they looked huge, and I did not think my 3 month old boy could fit them, but they have 3 rows of buttons and for smaller babies you fold the top, so the fit is great. So far they haven't leaked, however due to the slight bulkiness where the nappy is folded (across his tummy), a tight fitting outfit is a no, no... I haven't tried them for night time yet; we still have a box of disposable, so we use them at night time. However, we'll try it when we have run out of the disposables.

Overall, they are a great value for money; they are easy to use, great fit and keep my baby's bum dry! :)
