"Great movie but not for young kids"

The movie was very beautiful visually. It surprised me how 'dark' it was. I would not recommend viewing for very young children. Older children may even find it disturbing. Quite long for a children's movie.

This movie was very very scary and violent for a child. Maybe child see more on the news but this wasnt appropriate for the rating it was given. Brilliant movie otherwise but for older mature children that dont mind seeing animals killed (even if it is in animation)
"Not for little kids"

This movie was shown on advertisements as a friendly movie involving owls. My son loves animals so it seemed like a really nice movie to see in 3D. He's 2.5 years old so luckily, not quite old enough to know scary movies yet.
This movie, which was aimed at children, was scary and gory for an animation. There were little owls being injured, killed, scarred, fighting.
I would've been happier if this was how it was advertised because I would've chosen not to go see it with my son.
As an adult, I thought it was a great movie, just not aimed at young children.
