These gardens are beautiful! A wonderful family day out. Bring a picnic and pick a secluded spot and enjoy! I can't wait to take my dd (one month old) for a picnic there when she is a little bit older :-) The cafe there is great, lovely and friendly staff. I'm glad the botanical gardens are only 5 mins from home :-)

This place is just fantastic.

It has a closed in park area (so kids wont be able to run off) with play equipment for all ages, flying fox, rope bridge, swings, slide, spinning thing-a-ma-bob, sand pits, and more. The Cafe also serves a great coffee and is right next to the park. There are toilets also close to the park so you wont need to pack up everything and go home for the loo trips all our kids seem to need every 5 min.

The cycle ways are great or if you are not into riding you can actually drive around thanks to the road they have weaving in and around the 416 hectares of gardens (making it the largest botanic gardnes in australia).

There is just so much space here that you will have to see to belive....and look for the blue tree while your there, my kids LOVE it.
