We love this park. Years ago this reserve was not one that you would venture to with the children or for a picnic. But now with all the work that has been done and is still being done it is a wonderful area to go to as a family, couple or group.
Families can enjoy the space, updated play area, covered picnic areas and large grassed area for a game or two with the kids.
Couples have areas and tranquil spaces to enjoy their picnic if they want to get away from the noise of families having fun lol, plus the Reserve is large enough for Groups to get together and have fun too.
BBQ's we have found always to be clean and toilets we have found to be clean. Word of wisdom though is to take some extra toilet paper if there is a large group there as we found a couple of times it had run out.
The children especially love feeding the ducks in the lake. The water is so calming, last time people were out on their canoes, very jealous.
The bush walk is terrific, if energetic you can run or ride your bike, lots of wonderful plants, flowers and birds and the occasional rustle of something lol. That's when I walk faster and the kids want to stop and look see.
If you do not want to take your own drinks and food you can have a relaxing snack ice-cream or meal at the Kiosk and look out over the damn. Very relaxing.
This Reserve is great for young and old.
Hmmmm, not sure I should be giving such a great review for this reserve as now everyone will go and I will be jealous of others sharing our wonderful little secret.
