Parent Reviews and Comments

I read so many different sleep settling books when i had my first daughter and this was by far the BEST and most useful sleep and settling guide! I was given a copy by my MCHN who recommended it.

I really like that the settling techniques used by the Melbourne based Maternal Health Nurses and Midwives who authored this book don't encourage you to walk away while your baby is distraught and crying... they teach you to settle your baby and gradually encourage your baby to self sooth and settle without your intervention.  You are encouraged to leave the room when baby is settled but before they go to sleep.

I would buy this book as a new baby present for all of my friends!

This was the first sleep settling book I purchased. It was easy to follow, although some of the charts they want you to complete are way too much to ask of a new mum.

I took some of the settling tips from this, and combined with another book for a solution that worked for us.

The pictures in this book help to easily and quickly teach the techniques.

Definitely a winner, from a really reputable Melbourne sleep institution.

We purchased this book after buying Save Our Sleep, which we found to be very rigid for our lifestyle. Sleep Right, Sleep Tight gave us the tools to recognise sleep cues and go with our daughter's wants rather that enforcing a sleeping pattern that wasn't practical to our lifestyle. If you are after a sleeping ritual that is more tailored to your wants and your babies needs, this book is definitely the way to go.
