This is more than just your normal cookbook! There are lots of little tidbits of information surrounding pregnancy, health and nutrition. It's a wonderful book.
I found the recipes to be very yummy, of course healthy, and very easy to prepare. Not all of the recipes in this book are the 'cook from scratch' variety, which suits me just fine during pregnancy, so a lot of them were whipped up in no time!
Many great recipes for meal times, which the whole family enjoyed, as well as quick little snacks and drinks to whip up. Some very refreshing summer drinks which have been lovely.
I would say that these are lighter, more summery type meals than the hearty winter type, though there are a couple of more hearty type meals.
A big winner in this house, a book I'd most definitely recommend to those who are not only pregnant, but looking for quick, easy, simple and healthy meals!
This book was fantastic in the sense that it had recipes with affordable ingrediants that were easy to make as well as some others with a fanciful twist.
The pumpkin dip has now become a regular lunch option, it goes within minutes in our family. Sooo yummy!
The health tips are also useful- and are great for providing alternate ingrediant options that are pregnancy friendly.
