Breastfeeding: Real Mums Tell You How
This book has to have some of the most unbiased advice on feeding your child whether it be breast or bottle. Yes, it is a breastfeeding book, but it also has advice on bottlefeeding and there are stories from mums that chose to bottle feed at one stage or another.
The first few weeks of feeding my son were horrible, i just kept going one day (or feed) at a time, I wish I had this book so I knew it was normal what was happening, it would get better, and other people had gone through exactly the same thing.
I will continue to read this book as my son gets older and our breastfeeding relationship changes (returning to work, expressing or combination feeding, weaning)
This would make the most amazing present for a new mum or mum to be.
I am currently 19wks pregnant with my first bub, so havent yet had the chance to put into practise anything in this book, but it certainly looks like one that may just come in handy!
Practical advice, easy to read. I will have to add to my review in a few months time with its usefulness!
I won this book in a recent bubhub competition. Boy do I wish I had this book when I had my first child!!! The first few months of breastfeeding her were really rough and I felt very isolated. I found this book really encouraging and made me feel not so alone!! It was nice to read that other women struggled too and that it wasn't just me. My daughter is now 11mths old but I still find this book useful and keep it on my bedside table always.
I recommend this book to all mum-to-be's and mum's in general. It's super informative and the real life stories cover every angle.
I live in Singapore and a friend gave me this book for Christmas. This is my first pregnancy and I had heard that breastfeeding could be difficult to was really happy to have received it. I have read it cover to cover and I feel confident that I now know how to breastfeed. No doubt this will become my bible.
