News: No presents for Prince George’s birthday

Prince George first birthdayPrince George is celebrating his first birthday today – July 22- but his parents are urging people not to send presents.

According to reports the future king of England has already received 4000 gifts in his first year, and the Duke and Duchess have asked people who’d like to send a present to donate to a charity instead.

The family released a statement thanking people “for their warm and generous good wishes to George and our family”.

A few images have also been released featuring the curious little prince trying to catch a butterfly at the Natural History Museum in London, of which his mother is patron.

The photographs also show that Prince George is already walking – he has a blonde/reddish hair and chubby cheeks.

The Royal Family is said to be celebrating the milestone with a private tea party at Kensington Palace.
