reviewsfeedingYoghurt-covered high chairs. Pumpkin-stained shirts. Fruit-flinging toddlers.

Oh the joys of starting solids! It’s an inevitable step towards growing up that every baby has to make – and they usually make it pretty messily.

So what can you do? How can you make it even slightly less painful to see the lovely chopped up fruit in natural yoghurt that you’ve made up all special for your little one’s morning tea go dripping down their shirt and down on to the carpet because the spoon wasn’t quite right?

Then that leads to more food being served so that they actually get some in their belly instead of just playing with it – even if every baby seems to think playing with it is the best part!

Trying to choose what weaning spoons to use and which brand you and your bub like best takes a little while. Sometimes you have to try a few different types.

The same goes for cups and spouts – does your bub need one with handles? Are they coordinated enough to drink from a normal cup or do they need a special spout? Questions that can’t really be answered by ads or product descriptions.

Parents’ reviews can help – unbiased opinions from other mums and dads is probably your best bet – unless you can test them all yourself that is!

Check out our reviews section to see if you can find anything helpful – and help out other parents by posting a review for what you’ve found to be the best!
