Film Review: Hit and Run

In case you still owe Dad a Father’s Day present, Hit and Run has arrived just in time to convince him how thoughtful you are. The ultimate pedal-to-the-metal road movie, Hit and Run is a full-throttle ride where Smokey and the Bandit meets The Blues Brothers. Charlie Bronson (Dax Shepard) is hiding out under the Witness Protection Program when he agrees to risk blowing his cover and drive his saucy girlfriend (real-life partner Kristen Bell) to a job interview.
All hell brakes [sic] loose when he crosses paths with the baddies he put in jail, leading to a chase to the finish line that passes through all kinds of crazy twists, tunnels and unexpected turns. Bradley Cooper is wonderful as the dreadlocked head honcho, and Tom Arnold is hilarious as Bronson’s guardian. A high-octane, accelerated action road movie, Hit and Run is one wild ride. Take Dad; he’ll love you for it.
