Emma McKay

Emma McKay is a certified occupational therapist at Youthrive Springfield, and a practicing member of the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and Occupational Therapy Australia.

Since completing her Bachelor of Occupational Therapy and an Introduction to Auslan training course, Emma has developed a keen interest in the disability sector, particularly working with children with intellectual impairments and children on the autism spectrum. She enjoys learning about sensory processing and ways to incorporate these strategies into daily life.

“I am most passionate about enabling children to participate in all areas of life to the best of their ability. I believe that despite a diagnosis, a child should always be viewed as a child first, with the disability coming second.”
