3 exercises to re-engage your core muscles while holding your baby

A woman sitting on a couch holding a baby and doing core muscle exercisesThings change in our bodies after having a baby and sometimes it feels like we are never going to get our core and certain muscles back.

When you’re feeding through the night and doing all the tasks that new babies require of you, it can be hard to know how we can possibly find the time or energy to do something for ourselves and our bodies.

When I had little babies (they are now 7 and 8) I was always waiting for the big opportunity of time; the hour that I could go out and exercise or do something for me.

It was when I realised that doing little things throughout my day could be just effective on my mood, energy and the results I could see in my body, that everything changed.

I stopped waiting to have the time and freedom that I used to have and instead started doing.

This is a workout that demonstrates that you don’t need much time or even be on your own to begin to start actively moving your body.

Even in a couple of minute you will start to feel your muscles come alive again, experience a flood of oxygen and endorphins, and remember what it feels like to do something that is for you!

As you follow the workout, listen to your body and follow the modifications if you need to.

Enjoy! Lizzy
