doulas & birth attendants
Doulas are non-medical personnel trained to help in the birth delivery of new mothers-to-be.
A birth doula assists a mum-to-be during labour and birth, giving emotional support.
Post-natal doulas assist new mothers once at home with emotional support as well as physical assistance around the home.
We've also included trainee doulas - doulas who have almost finished their training and may even offer their services free on a selective basis. We have indicated trainee status in listings.
