The Tasmanian Department of Health and Human Services run child health centres providing regular appointments and baby check-ups, parenting courses, breastfeeding help, baby feeding help, childhood immunisation clinics and specialist services when you need some extra help and advice over the telephone. Most of these services are offered free of charge to residents of Tasmania.

If you need immediate help, the Parenting Line 1300 808 178 is a 24/7 telephone helpline available to assist parents with stressful parenting issues or concerns.
