Default What are you all doing for Valentine's Day ? ? ?

Just curious to know what people are doing on V DAY Valentine this Wednesday ? And what do you get your hubby ?

This is the first V Day we're spending with the little one and not sure what to do or what to get him.

HAHA....what is Valentines day? Oh the day of love. How could i possibly forget that!
My DH and I haven't celebrated valentines day in over 5 years. We think that it is very much a commercialised day for buying something, when we know we love eachother. I do usually make him a card and write telling him how much he means to me, and what is influencing our lives during past valentines day. With the kids it is awfully hard to incorporate valentines day into a romantic thing, but we usually buy dinner as our treat. We tend to lean toward our wedding anniversary as the day that we do things for eachother.

Depending wether DH is working day or night, we will either be going out for lunch or dinner!

After being together for 15 years now..........we don't bother with buying presents anymore. We just get each other a card and DH always writes the most gorgeous things to me.

Then we go down to a nice pub that do a Burger & Boag's deal for $9.90

We'll be able to take Gem with us this year too Valentine

We don't buy each other gifts for V day, Christmas or birthdays. We just love and appreciate each others time and love. A gift just doesn't do it for us.

DH is working nights this week, but even if he wasn't, we wouldn't go out or anything as we don't have a sitter.

I'll be sitting at home, being climbed over by children (DH works away), with a take-away dinner (so at least i don't have to cook ), and watching McLeods Daughters...my fave show! Romantic huh.....

My husband is anti Valentine's Day.

But I am going to surprise him with his fave takeaway, a case of beer and a card.
