    The "I'm not coping today" list...

    * Outdoor Water play
    * Pots and Pans and wooden spoons
    * A cool bath
    * Walk to the park for some outdoor play
    * Outdoor finger, foot, hand, body painting
    * Bake a cake or muffins or biscuits with them and then enjoy the results of your labour together
    * Stick them in front of their favourite DVD with a "naughty" snack ~ plain chips keep samuel quiet for a while
    * Get out the old faithful playdough!
    * Get down on the floor and play a game of something together (more than likely they just want your attention)
    *A trip the shopping centre for a walk around. Always works for jake!
    * Blowing bubbles
    * Put on boots and go find some puddles and/or mud
    *Dressups
    *Pretend to be animals to get things done - ie chicken during dinner...
    *Tickle Chasy - can change the mood in seconds...
    *Rocket balloons (just $2 from the regect shop for a big bag of them )

    *Blowing bubbles
    *sprey bottle of water and paint the fence and ground with it.
    * Painting in highchair with Qtips on paper towel (use food colouring in water in small containers - I pull the highchair up to the dining table for this and put the paint on the table)
    * Drawing
    * Blow balloons up quite small and draw faces on them
    * Make puppets out of toilet rolls
    * Collect leaves outside and stick them on paper
    * Build a cubby with chairs / table etc and tablecloth
    * Dance to a CD
    * Screaming competition (helps both of us relieve tension & makes us both laugh)
    * Feeding each other naughty food like chips, popcorn, biccies.
    * Playing in a bucket of water out the back
    * Copy cats (I copy what MJ does, always makes us laugh)

    *when shopping, keep an eye out for cheap toys and sales on toys, and stash them away in the cupboard for emergency.
    *Put bub/toddler in a safe place and call a friend, family, anyone... for a grown up chat and maybe even to arrange to get out of the house and meet up with someone.

    I think we should add that activity to the list
    * give toddler a bottle of cornflour and ask them to decorate the lawn, driveway or garden!
