    Thumbs up Pre-Natal Massage

I just got home from my first pre-natal massage and I'm feeling like heaven! After the last couple of days its definitely what I needed... and now my legs dont feel so tense from all that cramping either!!!

If you have the time and can afford to do it let me recommend getting a couple through your pregnancy... I'm going to get one a week while hubby is away and then one a fortnight when he gets back (he can massage me himself then!)

I asked for some recommendations from my hospital - so I knew it wasn't some kind of backyard backrub. It was $70 for an hour and I'll get half of that back from my private health fund for 'alternative therapies'

I've continued to have regular massage throughout my pregnancy (I had regular massage before) and it has been a life saver! I'm now 38 weeks and have another one booked for next week. Oh I can't wait!!!

I don't see a specialist in pre-natal massage, but I have a regular masseuse that I'm really comfortable with, otherwise it is probably a good idea to get some recommendations.

    ENJOY!! You deserve it

Just make sure the massuer is qualified to do pregnancy massages!!

PL, did you have the massage table with a hole in it (for your belly) or a pregnancy bean bag ?

I still remember how great I felt after one when I was pg, just being able to lie on my stomach was absolute heavan!!

A good idea i thought of to ease ichy/streching skin
is getting some home brand baby oil, (they cost less than 2 bucks a bottle and take ages to run out)
and every 2nd day i have a warm bath and i add a dash of it and letting it soak in to my skin..my feet are now soft like baby feet and have no darkness or roughtness.
    also good on my belly!!

WARNING: if your child swallows it they die there nothing doctors can do ..so keep it up for little hands!!

I have felt a bit like this after 2 sessions with the physio! Feel alive again! Not exactly the same as an hours massage but a good release of muscle tension... ahhhhhhh

Peaceangels - I know what you mean about lying on your belly... my physio has the table with the belly hole in it and while its a bit of an effort to get on and off it its so comfy to just lie there..
