Default How did you celebrate your 40th?

What did you do? Did it feel different to other birthdays?

I didn't have a party for my 40th. DH offered to throw me one, but I have a bit of a complex about people not turning up, so I just kept it low key.

My 40th fell on a long weekend - I caught up with friends for a long lunch, had a separate family celebration and on my actual birthday I had dinner and drinks just with DH at a fancy restaurant & bar (we got a babysitter for DS).

It didn't feel different because I just didn't make a big deal out of the whole thing. In my mind, it was just another birthday.

Funny you say this, it’s my 40th today!! Or as I say I’m 18 with 22yrs experience 🤣🤣 1981 baby!!

We should be in Bali as I’m typing this (yeah thanx covid ) nothing will compare to that but I just decided to do a small family & friend bbq on the weekend. I didn’t want a big party. We’ll get back to Bali one day......

2 nights away in Daylesford with DH and no kids! I did dinner with family the following weekend as well, but no party. Only felt different because it was our first weekend with no kids in years.

Did you know, once you turn 40 you can have a free screening mamogram through Breatscreen every 2 years? I didn't, but I wish I had known.
