    Hi Everyone ,

Just popping in to give you all an update. Today I'm currently 30 weeks pregnant and due 23 August 2021 however I think I will be induced mid August. I'm still pinching myself. It was an absolute miracle that someone at work offered me their sisters eggs, I still can't get over it.
I also find it difficult to admit after the miscarriage of my 17 & 18 week twins and also Covid my mental health was suffering immensely. 2020 was a tough year for us all.

So generally everything has been going well until I had my glucose test and failed the first hour but passed the second hour. The first couple of weeks was managing by diet but now I'm on insulin at night, 6 units.
I'm taking 12 months maternity leave from work in 4 weeks time. The time couldn't come quicker .

I really feel for everyone who is trying to get O/S, thinking of you all.

Re. Exemption it was pretty straight forward. I got a letter from my Greek clinic (which I drafted and just got them to put on their letter head) as below. I also included a cycle summary from them from Oct 2019 that showed we had two frozen embryos there with our patient ID number, names etc so they knew they were ours. And I wrote a personal letter basically reiterating what was on the clinic letter and also saying how much my emotions and mental health was suffering as a consequence of not being able to access them. I didn’t mention anything about it being egg donor on the forms. I applied under compassionate grounds.

    Dear Australian Border Force,
M & J suffer from complex, multifaceted infertility. They are current patients of our clinic, Iakentro, and have two embryos frozen at our clinic in Athens.
Since 2016, they have completed 7 in-vitro fertilisation cycles and 9 frozen embryo transfer cycles and experienced multiple miscarriages and failed cycles through treatment in Australia.
In 2019, M & J travelled to Iakentro in Athens and were successful in achieving a pregnancy resulting in their daughter. They now wish to access their remaining two embryos to try for a sibling. To complete an embryo transfer cycle using their remaining embryos, they are required to travel to Athens, Greece.
Due to the travel restrictions with COVID-19, we kindly request that you grant an exemption for M to travel to Athens, Greece at the end of June 2021, for medical treatment not readily available in Australia.
M will only be required to stay in Athens for three days to enable medical treatment, before returning to Australia. M meets category 1B for the Australian COVID-19 vaccine regime and has organised for her vaccinations to be completed before travelling.

I’m just about to put in for my exemption, I’ve got my letter from Greece clinic, my letter. Anything else I should add?

Do they want to see proposed flight details?
Sorry I didn’t see this. It has a 3 month expiry. And you give an intended travel date

    Prolutex question!!!

Was told by Ruth P that I’d be able to get it at a pharmacy affiliated with Iakentro. But she’s had no luck reaching the pharmacist to order it for me.

I leave for Greece tonight transfer Saturday!! And really wanted the Prolutex as I can’t do PIO myself and pessaries aren’t enough for me.

From those who have been before- can I buy Prolutex over the counter? From any pharmacy?! I’ve got Friday free so I can get around to pharmacies to collect it

Unless something has changed, yes, you can get it over the counter in Greece. There are a lot of pharmacies about too, they're everywhere. Leave some time for it though just in case stocks are low and you have to visit a few different pharmacies to get the quantity you want to see you through the first trimester once you're (hopefully) pregnant.
