Missed period

Hi all,

I am in perimenopausal already at 40 and missed my period. I am now 14 days late and have not had the courage of taking a preg test. I have been tired lately and my breast are sore. Is it worth taking a preg test as it might come back with a negative result.

If there's a chance you could be pregnant, you'd be best to take a test. A few mins of waiting would put your uncertainty to rest.

I am planning to have my ivf cycle this month when I get my period but I missed last month’s period and been experiencing pregnancy symptoms. It’s just hard to believe that I could be pregnant.

You might not be, but I've always preferred to know either way. At least then I can forget about it and not worry if it's negative. instead of sending myself crazy analysing every symptom.
