    Default Robot Vaccuum Cleaners

Do I need one? Do you have one? Is it great? Is it just "ok"?

I looooooove mine. Why buy a vacuum when you can buy a robot that does the job for you at the same price?

I was actually thinking about this today. Just moved into a place that is all floorboards and tiles. I don't even know where my vaccume is!

I have a Xiaomi brand one, much cheaper than most on the market and I’m really happy with its performance. Still going strong after a few years. I only use it for the kitchen and dining area, which is Lino, and quite large. It came with magnetic strips to block it off from other areas.
It has a mop function as well but I haven’t used that feature yet.
It was definitely a good buy for me, my house is too large for it to do the whole lot but after making a mess in the kitchen and after dinner it’s so good to just turn it on and walk away.

Yep! I have the Xaomi and can recommend. It has a tiny bit of trouble with the very point of corners, but I just zap them with a Dustbuster every few months and it’s fine.

I love mine. I will never not own one now.

Upsides: Obviously the free time to do other stuff while it's vacuuming, and you can turn it on while you're out of the house via its app. And you get a better clean as it forces you to pick up everything from the floor before you turn it on including under the beds etc, so you don't get tempted to half-**** the vacuum (or am I the only one who sometimes vacuums what I can see and ignores the hidden places?).

Downside: You can't half-**** it lol. If you miss so much as a hairclip or a tissue under the bed, it'll find it and choke on it. And you do have to empty it and clean hair out if it's wheels fairly regularly, but it's no biggie. Oh and occasionally it bumps a door closed and gets stuck in a room, or gets lost. Still, a great option for lazy/tired/busy people.

Just don't bother with getting one that mops. The mop function is useless.
