hello fresh has arrived and been put away. there is 3 dinners this week taken care of.

and i just realized i should do a woolies collect to boot order and there were still pick up windows available today. i’d been dreading facing a grocery shop for a few essentials with dd today as it’s freezing and she’s increasingly difficult to get into the trolley. so i just did my grocery shop from the couch while dd happily played with blocks. feeling like i’m winning at life with all this extra convenience and time is gives me!!!

It was heavily impacted by covid. The impact of brexit and an effectively failing healthcare system were also factors in the decision. We couldn’t keep living somewhere where our children’s quality of life was so much poorer that it will be here. I don’t think I ever realised how truly lucky we are to live in Australia.

DD really challenged herself today with doing a tree top course that she found really scary. It took a lots of encouragement and reassurance that she was safe, and she did the highest course! So proud of her and she was beaming when all her friends and their parents were cheering her on 🥺

It's a little bit sad, but I am over the moon and grateful that I managed to cook tonights roast lamb as well as a big batch of pasta for Monday and Tuesday night. The simple joys of being an adult 😆

I'm also happy that I met BF's mum today after feeling rather anxious about the whole parent meeting business.

Life feels a little bit too good to be true of late, and I'm glad to be in a head space where I can notice and appreciate the little things.
