Tell me your tinder stories!

I just joined. My profile said I was tired, very overweight and freckly, unlikely to ever meet in person, I was there to stalk people and they would be a low priority. Had 99+ hits within the hour. Every person I swiped right in is a match. So I stopped swiping.

I really am unlikely to ever meet. I’m a solo parent so stuck. My kids found tinder on my phone and said they don’t want me to date. I’m fine with that. Plus for some reason even though I had my km set low it was showing me people from 100km away!

What’s gone right and what’s gone wrong for you with dating aps?

That’s kinda why I joined tinder! But the couple of guys I messaged with actually seemed like nice genuine guys.

From what I've heard from single male friends, they just swipe right on everyone without reading any bios.

I've been toying with joining too.

But having said that a manager at work suddenly found himself single after his wife booted him out (he is an asshat). He has signed up to tinder and bumble ? And comes into work with icky / boasty stories about women he has met online. Eg I got second base with her. Eww. Who even talks like that? 60 year olds do apparently.

I am terrified of joining and having him see my profile.
