Default Car seats for classic cars

Hi all, this might be a long shot but I’m hoping there are some mums and dads out there with old classics cars in the family that can help me out with car seat recommendations!
We have had a lap belt and top tether point fitted to the middle of our 1959 Chevy rear bench seat but my sons big maxi cosi seat (which is installed in my car normally via isofix) is just too big for the Chev. There is no leg room for him as the front seat is also a bench seat and can’t go forward because my DH is 6’4 and needs his own leg room!
What kind of seats do others have in their classics? DS is nearly 4yo so Ideally need something that isn’t too bulky and not as high as the seat he is currently in - he’s been in it since birth.

    Thanks in advance 🥰

For that age, we've had a Babylove Ezy Grow in a hotrod with a chopped roof (so not a lot of height) and bench seats.

When still rearfacing, we used an A2 seat (Infasecure) as it was shorter depth than A4 seats.
