    yes it sure can, just need to ensure it’s cut 1cm within a node. i propagated mine in water til it rooted but i know someone who said she put hers straight into soil. they’re pretty forgiving. just water regularly and in a light spot (i would avoid direct sunlight) and it takes care of itself.

    Asking because the devils ivy the receptionist at work is growing is more horizontal and is spreading out all over a windowsill.

    Peace Lily is another “easy care” plant. They don’t need bright light and they let you know when to water.
    Their leaves are a beautiful dark green too
