    Default Vanishing twin

For those of you who have had a vanishing twin, is it normal to bleed and have cramping? I had my first scan on Saturday at 6 +4 and discovered 2 babies. However one was much smaller than the other and the heartbeat was only just visible. My fs said it will most likely be a vanishing twin. Today I had some red bleeding which has now stopped and feeling a heavy pressure in the uterus. Really hoping this is normal.

I had no bleeding and mine didn't "vanish" for months.

I had a natural one, where I didn’t realise I was pregnant with twins, started bleeding, went and had a scan and it showed one baby with a strong heartbeat and another misshapen sack off to the side, which was coming away, so second baby wasn’t as advanced as your one, last one I had both implant and same thing except it never came away and the sac was visible u til the 12 wk scan. Hopefully your bleeding won’t return, and it’s just your body adjusting to the lowering of hormones, moving from two babies to one (hugs) if your on progesterone support, maybe add in a couple more to give your body that extra boost.

Had another scan today at 7 weeks 2 days and turns out my little vanishing twin has decided not to vanish after all and is now the same size as the other. Both had nice little heart beats.
