Dear Gorgeous Bubhubbers,
It is with great sadness that I have to let you know that Brad and I have made the difficult decision to close the Bubhub website down. We are intending to close it on 22 July (although it may take a few days after that for all the changes to take effect).
Once the site is closed, all content will be removed - including forum content - and will no longer be accessible. That should all take effect by the end of July.
We will be very sad to see it closed. It's been a magnificent support to thousands over the years and we still feel that it offers a great outlet for many. However, the finances just don't stack up and we've been pouring thousands of our own money into it. We just can't sustain that. We have been trying very hard to sell it and pass it on, but it's just not happening and so we have to stop now and draw that line in the sand.
I thank each and every one of you for being a part of our online community. I would also like to extend an extra special thank you to our moderators (present and past) for everything they have done to keep our community safe for all. You can't begin to imagine how grateful we are.
The official blog post with more information is here: https://www.bubhub.com.au/hubbub-blo...ub-is-closing/

I'm so, so sorry to hear this, Hilary. I'm holding back tears!
Bub Hub has been such a wonderful source of support for me over the last few years. Thank you for providing a safe space for us to share our worries and journeys. I'm going to miss this place and the lovely community here.
Wishing you and your family all the very best in your future endeavours. xox

Thank you sincerely Brad & Hilary for running this forum for so many years.
It is going to be hard/odd not to have this space to come back to time and time again. Since I fell pregnant with my DS (who is now 9) bubhub has always been there for me and I have learned SO much about a variety of topics, both parenting and otherwise.
Thank you for choosing me to be a moderator. I will never forget the outrageously good time I had with the other moderators when we got to spend a few days together at 'ModCon'. It put additional laughter lines on my face for sure!
Although I'm well and truly out of the 'bub' stage of life, I stuck with this forum because of the awesome members. There are so many who I feel like I know so well, and it will be so sad to lose contact with them. Nevertheless, you guys have not taken this decision lightly and I wish you guys much happiness and success in your post bubhub life xxx

Oh no! I’m so sorry to be read this! It’s such a lifeline for many. Is there anything we can do like all chip in via a crowdfunding campaign?

What a sad day. While I’ve not made any “real life” friends through BH, I have definitely forged friendships with other members on the forum. It’s been a great place to come to to ask for advice or just to chat to people who are in the same stage of life that I am. I will definitely miss the social aspect of the forum.
On a side note, is there a simple way for us to archive things such as a journal? I’d love to be able to keep the pregnancy/parenting journals I’ve created as I find they’re helpful to refer to when it comes to dates/milestones etc.

You can definitely cut and paste or print threads (thread tools > printable version). I'm not sure how long the threads are that you would like a copy of. Let me know if they are too long to do that and I'll see if there are other options. We wouldn't want you to lose your journals.
Edit to add: Please only keep any copied material for your own personal use though, do not post it online anyway. TIALast edited by BH-bubhub; 03-07-2020 at 08:27.
