Oh my gosh Allymumtobe! Of course I remember you! I haven't logged on to BH in ages, this is a lovely update to see!
Sending huge congrats and many hugs for the hard stuff I hope it gets a little easier as the pregnancy progresses. I think it's still early days in terms of bonding so I hope you're not feeling too guilty about that, I didn't really connect with mine as real babies until around the halfway point.

Today I ordered a mocka cot and matching mattress. I was going to wait but after the ones I liked from IKEA were on back order till mid October I didn’t want my denial to put us on the back foot.

It’s plain with split ends and I’m going to put some decals on it closer to his arrival.

I’ve also decided while I don’t think I’ll use the nursery for the first year or so I think I will get the nursery ready more as an exercise for my brain to accept that everything is okay and there is a baby coming home.

I had some great flurries of movement today but as soon as they died down my brain starts making me doubt what I felt.

I’m scared the money on the cot will be “a waste”.

I know I’m meant to be relaxing and being kind to myself but 19 weeks! When will my brain stop this?

That's a huge step! Well done hun.

As for the worry, it may not go away (and gets worse once they're here!!) But it's a whole other ball game. Are they eating enough? Growing enough? Sleeping enough? Are they warm? Too warm? Sudi, milestones, reflux, breastfeeding, speech, smiling, crawling, rolling, teeth, walking etc etc etc... 😅 I thought once they were here I could relax, but it's actually not that simple. The only difference is you can monitor them yourself, and make changes (Not eating enough: you can feed them more. Not sleeping well: you can snuggle them while they sleep)

But for now, cherish each flutter, and know that your little one, and your body are doing the best they can ❤ and they will keep doing it. It's hard, but try to trust that your baby has got this growing thing sorted 👌

I was only asking because I thought maybe your new little ones name could honour Angus in some way? My eldest boy has his uncle Adam's (My husband's brother) first name as his middle name. Adam was only a few days old when he passed away.

    That’s sweet but no

I have a nephew born 2.5 yes ago names Gabriel.

I also don’t want this baby to carry the burden of his dead brother or feel like a replacement in any way. ❤️

I am sad that I’m not going to get to finish my story here.

I’ll try to set up an alternative

But also I’m unorganised. Its not the same but if anyone wants to add me via Facebook or Instagram send me a message and hopefully I’ll be able to get a blog up for my rants because I do need somewhere so rant
