Default 34 wks pregnant and bubs is only 1.7kg

Hi! So I’m 18 years old and a small person myself but at my 33 week scan they found that my baby’s humerus and femur are small, about 3 weeks behind were they should be. At my 34 week scan they said she was reallyyyy tiny weighing almost 1.7kg, I had the scan to detect chromosomal abnormalities which was negative. I can’t get off google and searching all these possibilities ,I think the plan is to induce me around 37 weeks because they don’t think it’s a good idea if I go past that. Does anyone have any stories that are similar?

My 4 week old was going to be huge according to Ultrasound’s, she came out an average size and the shortest of all my children, ultrasound can be very inaccurate. Try not to worry too much xx

I had my dd at 34 weeks. The day before she was born the ultrasound said she’d be only 3 lbs. she was 5lbs 15 oz so a lot bigger than expected .

I was borderline GD & my DD was born at 40+5. I was told she was going to be a big baby especially with the GD but she was only 2.7kg, tiny little thing she was & today she’s a happy, healthy 3.5yr old. Goodluck x

Babies stack the weight on in the last 6-8 weeks. My first two babies were only 2750g born 38 weeks. My third was almost 4kg at 37.5 weeks. Some babies are just little, especially if you are (I'm small too). Don't stress.
