Of course no worries I have attached the price list for you. Coastal IVF recommends the 10 egg option to give yourself the best chance of as many embryos and definitely allow freezing for additional FET. Screenshot_20201206-172515_Drive.jpg

Egg Donation Greece #20
So if I’m not mistaken, it would cost only a few thousand more for the 10 egg program as it would to travel to Greece for a cycle. By the time you pay for the cycle, add on airfares and accommodation it would be close. Or am I misreading this completely??
What are the current wait time if you don’t mind me asking?Last edited by RCA39; 24-01-2021 at 17:47.

Hi there ladies and first I would like to wish everyone here the very best for the new year ahead. Also a huge congratulations to @Juventina and @Amandamoo for your incredible achievement and dogged determination - just.... Wow!!! Beautiful news too and lots of love to your miracles @Aussiesofftogreece & @LeeLee1980 and I am thinking of you @POAShopeful and @stacey10.
@Makeuplover40 @1greenfrog @Carby @gypsychild I have not let go of my hope to get to Greece, if not by end this year then 100% in 2022, as the desire is just burning continuously quietly inside but my faith waxes and wanes as this pandemic continues and the horrors in Europe appear to not be subsiding at all. You may recall that I was in the middle of my prep cycle at end-Feb 2020 with excellent lining, Iakentro happy and my FS here too, with 8-days from flying out to Greece for my first FET, egg donor all good, and with my DHs sperm frozen there ready as he had flown to Athens early-Feb on the way to AU after visiting family in Italy. Anyhow, by mid-March we knew very well what was happening in Italy and with so much uncertainty and my own elderly mother with needs here in AU I made the decision to pull the pin. I just had to. To finish the meds and come off them slowly was just a mind-whack after having so much finally in the palm of my hand and being so close to the possibility of being pregnant, of actually having a real chance. But it was too risky at the time. I catch myself every now and again in that I question myself ‘what if’ or ‘why didn’t I just go for it?’ But I had to put family first so I guess that was the right decision. I also stepped right out of my comfort zone dramatically in June and changed career and have had an unexpected promotion in December, and met new people through work so I am very thankful, every day, as I have put my energy into this project whilst I put Greece on the back-burner. I will be 43 in March and whilst I am very healthy, fit and well I am really pleased to hear from other ladies that peri-menopause or menopause isn’t an issue with ED. But I have made it my mission this year to almost be in training for when I can go to Greece: to be quiet, to still my mind when I can, to be kind to myself, to eat cheese whenever the hell I want, and make sure in general that I am not too much of a pain to be around!
I am also being realistic that a vaccine won’t be the golden bullet, life won’t return to normal for several years, but if it gets the airplanes back in the sky and opens Australia again to overseas then sign me up.
Big hugs xoxo

With the current exchange rate it is about $19k AUD to ship 10 eggs to the clinic. Then add on the cycle cost with Medicare rebate and costs of getting to clinic location. Hopefully we don't have the cost of quarentining when we return to WA!
I have been told this is a lot cheaper than TWEB but not sure how it works out compared to Greece, still more I think.
Our Dr told us pre Covid the eggs would be here in 2-3 months but now it is taking 3-6 months. Normally there is also no wait for donor profiles but they are so busy they told me it would be about 1.5 months until they would get to me to match us to some donors.

@gypsychild do they ask for tests from you or just the donors?

We have provided them with all my hubby's sperm tests so they are checking if they want anything else.
They will also look at all my previous tests and cycle history, I assume to check my oven is in good shape. The other reason they look for us is they offer one last own egg IVF cycle if we want when we go for embryo transfer. They pick up any eggs from you and grow them to Day 5 with the donor embryos, then allow you to choose what you want to do on Day 5 (if your own egg embryos actually made it). It's optional though.
So far I haven't been asked for any further tests.

Hello Ladies
I haven't been on this thread for a few years so im not up to date with anyone but baby dust to all. My journey was in 2017 I have an egg donor in cyprus that gave me my daughter in 2017 and we are on a sibling journey now. We are hoping to access our super to fund our ivf treatment. Has anyone done this successfully if yes what did the Ato and superfund require for evidence.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
😊

@infinity888 yes I accessed my super. There are forms you need to download and get your FS and GP to complete, you also need a quote from a travel agency with their letterhead on it with the flight costs and accommodation. Once you have all this the process is pretty straightforward. You just complete the online form on my gov and it would also be good if you have a letter from your GP as well as the overseas clinic quote. You will need to attach these documents when submitting your form online. Once approved you will receive a notification from the ATO. Then you contact your super fund to access the funds. I hope this helps . Goodluck xx
