Got a call yesterday to say the 1st blast hadn't thawed (too few good cells, too much fragmentation) so they'd thawed a second.
Fast forward to this morning, and the second one only had a few live cells, so they'd had to defrost a third one for transfer while hopefully telling me "this one looks really strong", while all I can think is that's what you said about the other one yesterday.
In one day over half of the blasties are gone, theoretically the best ones (thus highest priority for transfer) lost before they even got near me.
I should have hope for the one that has been transferred today but at the moment going through the motions of the 2ww seems so unnecessary, or like I'm being a fool if I expect or behave like anything could come of it.
Sorry to be a downer. DH has 3 children from prior relationship, so there's really no hope of him 'getting' how I feel right now, whereas I expect plenty of people on this board do.

Hope others are doing a bit better with their journeys.
Hey Hun, I can totally sympathise with you on the whole partner thing not understanding the whole need and want of wanting a child because they have a child. My partner also has a 4 yr old daughter from previous relationship, we have her 6 nights a fortnight, and I find it extremely hard to be around them sometimes when we are going through the IVF cycles. After 3 failed stim cycles and not one step closer, I can find it extremely hard getting support from him, because he really does not understand.

All you can do is try and be hopeful, it is all we can do at the end of the day. And this whole process makes us so much stronger, and anything worth having is worth waiting for! Good luck! xx

I woke up from my egg collection to see a beautiful number 9 written on my hand. I’m so thrilled! Now to wait for the update tomorrow about fertilisation. I’m trying to keep my expectations realistic- I know that I won’t end up with all 9 fertilised. But it was so exciting to see that the number seen on the scans was what my specialist was able to collect.
I wish my Clinic wrote the number on my hand, I get told when I'm still a little out of it then second guess what I heard until I see the report on my discharge paperwork

I was so glad for that number! I did second guess it though, and as soon as I saw it I checked with a nurse if it was a six or a nine.

My doctor does it as part of his routine- he told me he would do it, and so did the anaesthesiologist, and one of the nurses. As soon as I was awake I looked straight at my hands! Maybe you could ask your clinic if they could do it?

Are they all just unexplained implantation failure? If so there is this doctor in adelaide (not sure where you are) and she specialises in implantation failure- I’ve heard amazing things about her. Dr dee McCormack !

Goodluck for Monday 🤞🤞 I’ve got it all crossed for ya! I’m having a transfer Monday aswell!! hopefully it’s a lucky day for us both!
    baby dust to us all
    Sorry, forgot I posted! #hormones 🤦🏻‍♀️

5 is plenty, you’re a warrior to be still going Best of luck for Monday!!!

Thanks so much for letting me know about Dr Dee - I’m really happy with my Dr (in Brisbane), but will look her up just in case.

My issues are PCOS, thin-ish lining, and a uterine septum (now corrected). 1 pregnancy that was a MMC at 7 weeks. 4 failed transfers before that; 4 after. Corrective surgery for the septum was after the MMC, as we think that might have contributed (the embryo - a girl - tested chromosomally normal afterward). After another 3 transfers I had a hysteroscopy to rule out scar tissue / adhesions, and did an ERA (as well as ALICE & EMMA) test at the same time. I now take an extra 18 hours of progesterone (lol - so specific), and we’ve only tried once since then, so fingers crossed we’ve found the magic formula and this next one sticks all the way! 🤞

Otherwise I guess it's just more of that enforced break that no one wants and yet, it's probably good for your healing time.

So far we're booked in for a scan on 24th, probably due to ovulate a day or two after that, so then hopefully embryo transfer first couple of days of March. Still seems like forever away!
@BBBB I’m hoping I can just sneak in! I’m going to call this week and ask if they will send me the day 1 blood form just in case! I’m not always regular and seeing as my last cycle after the D&C wasn’t “normal” I have no idea what to expect!! I’m done waiting I’m ready to go now so fingers crossed we manage to start in March!!

Nearly scan time for you so that’s exciting!!

Well.. transfer day today! Mixed emotions.. not really feeling excited at all.. as I know it’s just harder later on if you get a bfn!
So just going to pretend it’s a normal day and try get through this 2ww with ease!
Also having acupuncture before my transfer and then straight after - 🤞

Hope everyone else has a good day wether it be scans or bloods or ET !
