    Default Early Menopause/Donor Egg Abroad

    Hi everyone!

I have recently been diagnosed with early menopause and our specialist has referred us to a clinic in Greece for donor egg. I have emailed them but have not had a reply as yet.

Just wondering if anyone has been though this?

@embabe just be careful which clinic he has recommended, some have personal “ties” with the clinics and that doesn’t necessarily mean that you will get a great experience at the clinic, best bet is to hop into the Greek thread and have a read, the ladies are lovely, there are also extremely good clinics in the Czech Republic, and South Africa (if you want to choose your donor) and Spain. The Spanish and Greek clinics are of similar cost and the Czech clinics are slightly cheaper. Just like everything unfortunately there are some dodgy clinics around, so you do have to do your research.

    Hi embabe,

I’ve been on a similar journey. My husband and I had been having fertility treatments for years and I was told last year that I would have early menopause and that a donor egg would our only hope of having a family. I was referred to a local clinic to discuss the donor option.

I wasn’t happy with the set up in Australia so decided to look overseas. I contacted Embryoland. Dr Nikos Kanakas called me within a few hours of me lodging an enquiry.

Dr Nikos was fantastic, he worked with me on a plan to visit Athens for the treatment, including advising meds and monitoring my progress. We stayed in regular contact.

I Had the treatment this year, incorporated it into a holiday. I found the experience easy and I felt supported the whole time. I am now pregnant. I can’t recommend Dr Nikos or Embryoland enough.

I wish you all the best with your journey.

    Hi @embabe
I was menopausal and did DE at Embryoland with the amazing Dr Nikos Kanakas. I was blessed with twins on my first attempt.
Google the clinic and email him. He will skype you for a chat, all free
