    Default Christmas mayhem and people leaving their manners at home!

    Does anyone else notice an increase in rude/pushy/selfish behaviour this time of year when out and about in public? Seems to ramp up early December.

    People seem more frantic and stressed at the shops.

    I saw a woman yesterday almost barging into people on her quest to walk briskly as possible. I also had an older woman blatantly attempt to push in front of me at a clothing store when it was obvious I was next in line and had been waiting patiently.

    Car parks are a nightmare - the usual congestion, but also people putting the pedal to the metal and speeding dangerously (I assume they're the folks that have done their shop and are leaving).

    Is it really necessary?! I just wish people would relax a little and be more mindful and courteous.

    Yes I've noticed it. What's everyone rushing for? Christmas will come and go. It's one day, not the end of the world. If people are acting this looney over gifts and a couple days of shop closures, then imagine what they would be like in armageddon.

    Yep. Its why I try to be near done at the start of December. Everyone thinks I'm crazy, but I can avoid everywhere the last week except for the odd fresh grocery item

    I am behind this year.... I'm stuck on ideas from the kids to significant adults.

    yes it’s awful. i get that it’s a stressful time of year and i do feel more tired than usual therefore less patient and quicker to fire up, but honestly, pushing in? or driving like an idiot? it’s unlikely you’ll get anywhere much faster and it’s just bad manner at best, downright dangerous at worst. hate it.

    I really should prepare more in advance. I usually don't make a start until December - having said that, I often buy the bulk of the presents online anyway, which saves me from braving the shops.

    If I have to go to a shopping centre, I'll be avoiding peak times.

    My DS loves going to the shops as a general outing (he wants to go every weekend ), but I'll be taking that option off the table now, until the madness is over.

    Say what now haven’t even started thinking about it... don’t even know where we will be living- potentially we will even be moving in the next week or 2.... no idea what we are getting kids. Don’t even have any decorations or a tree (dh threw them out when he did a dump run ages ago without realising).

    Can’t hear you!

    Haha but yeh not anywhere near organised. No gifts no ideas!
    Kids stressing me out and I just don’t even want to think of it. Will be very low key but I would like an excuse for a nice lunch.

    @SheWarrior gosh that’s tough! 😓
