I’m looking for a children’s book which explains egg donation IVF in a nice and child-friendly way. I’ve looked online but most of the ones I’ve found don’t look that great. Does anyone have any recommendations?

You could try What Makes a Baby. Not specifically about egg donation, but it's very open about some bodies having eggs, sperm, a uterus, or not. There would be room for you to discuss where the egg came from in your situation

I bought a book called ‘Sometimes it takes three to make a baby’ by Kate Bourne. I really like the book however we did not end up reading it to our daughter (we had originally planned to). It was helpful though as we read it and then used some of the terminology from the book and it just became normal part of our conversations with her from really early on. Let me know if u have any questions

Hello.
My friends got a donor for both her kids and she made a hard backed book herself. Office works job I think. She wrote it and hubby illustrated it. He is a designer tho by trade but you could give it a go? It was really beautiful. I said she should sell it!

Hi, I have 17 month old twins conceived through donor ivf and I bought them The Family Book by Todd Parr and they love it (probably the bright colours)! It's very basic and talks about how all families are different and special.
I also bought them A tiny itsy bitsy gift of life (which is OK) and The Pea That Was Me (I recommend this one)

Thanks for the suggestions ladies! I’ve already started a ‘9 months growing...’ book on snapfish with embryo, ultrasound and bump shots and I’ll also order the Pea that was Me!
