Default Claiming PPL via paper-based form - not online.

Has anyone ever made a claim for Paid Parental Leave via the paper-based form, instead of online through MyGov? Can I ask please how long did it take to approve, and how were you notified as to whether your claim was accepted or not?

I put in a claim about two weeks ago and have heard nothing back yet. I'm not sure if this is normal or not.

Thanks for any advice you can offer

How did you lodge it? Mail or at an office?

I’d call and just check if it has been received yet. Sometimes paper claims if not scanned properly don’t trigger a work item for the processing team.

I sent it via Express Post to the address quoted on the form.

The tracking information says it was delivered two days after posting which was just over two weeks ago...

It can take a few weeks to be processed but they should send updates on myGov. Calling won’t hurt to reassure you that it’s been received.
