    The bigger sized nappies aren't as soft as the newborn one's in most brands - they're a bit hardier/stiffer.

    I tend to return to Baby Love over Huggies and Rascals simply because the sizing suits bubs better - sometimes it's not a matter of absorbancy but fit - too loose or small and they're less effective and each brand is a bit different even when the same size.

    I think that's right, the fit for individual babies is different. Interestingly I remembered that I'd kept a few of the Huggies from when dd1 wore them (unused ones obvs), she plays with them from time to time with her teddy bears - they appear to have changed in the last few years because the bigger size in the older nappy is very soft, but the ones I'm trialling now feel less soft and comfy.
