Default Headaches but normal blood pressure

Hey guys - are headaches a normal symptom in the second trimester?

I keep getting this awful headaches lately.

I had my blood pressure taken a couple of days ago and it was completely normal. Google just goes straight to preeclampsia when I type in the symptom but given my good BP I don’t think it’s that

Your muscles are much more relaxed when you’re pregnant. Could it be your neck giving you headaches if you’re otherwise in good health?

I think headaches are just part and parcel of life tbh, BUT you can have pre eclampsia without high blood pressure. Tell your care provider and get your urine +/- bloods checked to rule it out.

Try going for a massage or acupuncture to help. I find the beauty parlour pregnancy massages useless, you want to go somewhere decent. My acupuncturist with DD gave amazing massages and he had a massage therapist that worked with him as well who was amazing!

Thanks everyone, sounds like it can be normal.

But I didn’t know you could have preeclampsia with normal blood pressure, so I’ll ask my OB about it

Hi @Beary, I’ve also had some shocking ‘all-day’ headaches starting from around 17w. My blood pressure has been consistently on the lower side of normal. My OB wasn’t concerned and said headaches can be normal.
