    Default Tubal ligation and ovulation

Edit to add- please no stories of tubals gone wrong, I only want experiences directly about ovulation pain and whether the procedure helped or not.

Having my tubes done on 30th of this month (yay!). One thing I forgot to ask the dr is will it (possibly, I know there’s no guarantees) help with the crippling ovulation pain I get every month? I’m talking can’t walk, can barely move and painkillers don’t even touch the sides (can’t take ones with codine as I am very sensitive to it and even the smallest amount knocks me out, not an option with kids at home). Honestly if I had my way I would get them to take the lot out but they won’t.

So. Has anyone been in the situation and found the tubal ligation helped? Or did it do nothing? Or did it make it worse? Any experiences welcome, good or bad.

I get a slight twinge in my right side and nothing on my left. AF a little heavier then before but not much. No pain this month at all.

I have terrible ovulation pain too but unfortunately the tubal ligation hasn’t helped in my case. I hope it does with you!

Fingers crossed! Not counting on it though. I suppose, thinking about it, you still ovulate, it just stops the egg from going through the tubes so it’s probably unlikely to stop the pain. Eh, one can only wish though, hey?!
