IVF/FET October/November 2019

Hi all,

I thought I’d start a new thread as I’m likely moving over here soon.

I was lucky enough to get my beautiful daughter from our first ICSI attempt four years ago and now we are trying for number 2. I have a few frozen embies stored so I’m just slowly working my way through them all!

I’ve just had two chemical pregnancies from two FET’s and now I’m waiting for a hysteroscopy in Oct before I can do my third FET in November.

I have my second FET on Friday 4 October

Start my Utogestan tomorrow, adding clexane, prednisone and baby aspirin on transfer date.

BT on Tuesday 15th, doubt I will last that long

What’s the reason for the aspirin etc. Have you been diagnosed with NK cells?

I tested positive for high levels anti cardiolipin which is some sort of auto immune issue that can cause clotting and miscarriage, so it’s assumed this will help.

I’ve had only 1 chemical in 3 years, but I also have PCOS and could never get the timing right so I suppose I’m lucky to not have had more chemicals. Who knew PCOS could be a good thing lol

Haha! I’ve never felt like my PCOS was a good thing so nice to hear about a silver lining. Did you get all the testing done before starting any IVF? I’ve had two chems and my clinic hasn’t mentioned anything other than the hysteroscopy, although it maybe due to me having one child from my first FET🤷‍♀️

It was part of the standard testing my clinic did before we started.

I’m with the bulk billing side of Life fertility in Brisbane.

I was pleasantly pleased that they were proactive with this considering I’m not private and they don’t make as much $ off me!

How many transfers have you had?

Hey jumping over from the Sept thread.
Had my scan on Thursday at a local radiology place and she commented saying looks like you’ve ovulated, which of course devastated me, then my clinic rang an hour later and said everything looks good. I wish the sonographer had of not said anything as now I’m second guessing.
I’m on progynova and started progesterone pesseries Saturday.
So Transfer booked for next Thursday 3rd Oct.

I have a 20yr old son from when I was 16, obviously naturally conceived.
7 miscarriages.
3yr old from our first IVF cycle (3 frozen from that cycle)
14month old from our first FET.
I’m 36 hubby is 35, unknown secondary infertility.

Sorry to hear about all your miscarriages IVF seems to be working for you tho so congrats on that front! Fingers crossed that it’s a 3/3 for you 🤞

Are you on a programmed cycle? If so do you mind sharing why that is? My daughter was from my first ICSI FET on a programmed but they’ve had me on 2 x natural cycles with Letrozole the last two chems and my linings been way thicker. I’m going to demand a programmed cycle next go.

CD40/13 DPO so this will definitely be my month to start our first cycle!
