Going to try and hold out until AF is due this time, so testing 19 October if AF doesn’t come first!

Going to put in a lot of effort this month, I’m eating a bit better, switched from alcohol to kombucha and taking B6 and vitex to try and extend my very short luteal phase (8 days ). Hoping to fall pregnant of course, but if not, hoping I at least have a longer luteal phase.

    Good luck ladies!

I’ll be testing on the 16th. Just realised that is DH and my “dating anniversary”.

This is our first proper month of TTC for #2

Alcohol to kombucha is a fair effort!! 😂😂

I'll be testing about the 26th October 😊😊

This month I'm going to eat better, eat less sugar and exercise more!!

I'm using digital ovulation tests. They are expensive but hopefully accurate!

It hasn’t been difficult (even though I was having a lot of wine!) because I have my eyes on the prize. I find when I’m in the right frame of mind things are much less challenging. But if TTC takes many months I won’t hold out that long and I’ll have a wine or two here and there

I’m not a fan of the digital ovulation texts (I always got a bloody empty circle but I think I didn’t test late enough in my cycle) but I like the forelife ones. They’re on sale at Chemist Warehouse (not sure if online only) so I bought two packs of those.

I’ll be having a transfer on the 4th with blood test on 14th but no way I will last that long

I so hope we get lots of positives!

I’ve updated the testing list with all of you on there
@Hetty- I’m trying to hold out too I’m in TWW and AF is due on 2nd really want to hold out but can feel myself wanting to cave. Good luck with extending your luteal phase!
@Mary17- good luck hopefully it’s a quick journey for you!
@ElaineBenes- I think everyone has OPK’s that work better for them, I’ve never used the digital ones but I did use some that I got off fertility2family and they gave me a very obvious positive and they were cheap, I think $24 for a 30 pack.
@Allanahbananah - how exciting, I’ve got my fingers crossed for you!

    What’s everyone’s story?

DP and I are TTC #2, have been on this journey since April, got pregnant in May but unfortunately miscarried in June, and have been actively trying since but still waiting for that positive test! Our DS is 3 weeks short of 1.5yo and we really wanted a close gap so I’m glad we started when we did given we are now nearly 6 months into our TTC journey.

We have a 19 month old and are TTC #2. We were extremely lucky to have a quick journey last time but I don’t want to hold my hopes up for this time. Not tracking anything at the moment and just going by my period tracking app at the moment. This cycle feels like it’s dragging on though!! My fertile window falls smack bang on our family holiday next week, so I’m excited!

    My story:

DP (37) and I (33) have been together 14.5 years, TTC #1 for 3 years now.

Only known issue is PCOS and very irregular cycles (26-90days).

1 chemical in Sept 2017 (miscarried the day of my Nana’s funeral), started IVF in May 2019.

First FET was in July, 2 more frosties waiting for our next attempts!

Seeing BFN after BFN is definitely getting to us, not sure how much longer we will continue TTC, I would say we would stop end of 2020 if no success.

We are lucky as we are with a bulk billing clinic, So there’s no financial strain, but the emotional strain is building.

It feels like DP and I have kind of lost ourselves and the spark of our relationship whilst TTC.

I don’t want to spend our future being sad about what we don’t have, I would prefer to enjoy my life with him even if that doesn’t involve children.

I don’t mean to sound flippant about being okay with not having children.... of course I would love that, I just know that sometimes it doesn’t happen for people and I don’t want to get to an elderly age and regret that I didn’t appreciate and live in every moment of the life that I have actually had.

Well, that was a lot deeper than I expected it to be when I first started typing!
