Default Hcg rising 7 week scan no heartbeat

I need to hear some positive stories. I have been doing IVF for years, this is cycle number 7. Pregnant once but ended in MC.

I had a fresh 5 day transfer in August, my HGC was 38 and was doubling every 48 hours. Last draw 5768.

I would be 6 weeks and 6 days today and just had a ultrasound. They could only detect a small sac and no heartbeat. Said It looked like 5.5weeks. No bleeding or cramps.

I am so miserable and haven’t stopped crying. Anyone been in this situation and it ended up a positive one?

Really need to hear what happened.... waiting for the call from doctor to find out what happens next

Yep, I have. First pregnancy we didn't see my baby's HB until 8 weeks. Second pregnancy we didn't see it until 7 1/2 weeks. My clinic made a big hoo-ha about it saying "we should be seeing it by now" but nope, my babies just needed more time to grow. Honestly, if you're not bleeding or cramping, and your HCG is still rising, you're still in with a great shot. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise! Have hope for your little one. It could go either way but the last thing you want to do is jump to a hasty decision and leave yourself with "What if's?" Good luck hon x

Thanks for your message! If you don’t mind me asking, did you have an earlier scan and just see an empty sac? I haven’t had any bleeding. A tiny bit of cramling this morning and that’s it..

Indeed I did. With the first they said I had an irregular shaped sac that was inconsistent with a viable pregnancy. It was empty - no yolk sac, no fetal pole, no baby and no HB.

With the second they saw only a yolk sac on the first scan. I'm 21 weeks along now

Oh wow, that’s amazing. Congrats on your pregnancy..

The doctor at the ultrasound wasn’t potlsitive at all and suggested that IVF dates should make it 5.5weeks when it should be 7

I have had no bleeding or cramps. Desperately waiting to find out what happens next!
    I’m so nervous..

    Thanks for you post x

Brown loss is usually old blood. If it starts to go red with cramps then that’s more concerning. Good luck for your scan.

I agree. Spotting is very common in pregnancy. What did your specialist say? Do you have long until your next scan? Sending hugs in this stressful time x
