    Default 7pm bed time

7pm bedtime is my preference for kids to give DH some time together before we go to bed.

What time do your children go to bed? I have friends who’s kids are up until 9/10 at 2-4 years of age.......

I have an almost 6 week old who will not settle at 7pm no matter what we do she’s up until about 9:30 before she finally settles for the night. I know (I think?) this is normal for this age but it’s so draining I couldn’t imagine doing it long term. My 2 year old goes to bed at 7pm and has done so since about 4 months or so.

Some nights I’m in bed by about 9, and almost always before 10. Hubby is a night owl and is up until 11:30ish most nights.

Both of my boys (5 & 2) go to bed at 7. They are usually pooped by then!

We have an 8, 6 and 5 year old who all go to bed at 7pm. They're up between 6 and 7am every morning so they're more than ready for bed at that time. When they were babies we would start their bath then feed routine at 6pm but the actual time they would be asleep would vary from anywhere 7pm onwards

My 8 and 6 year olds are in bed at 730pm and up at 7am on weekdays. Weekends are later to bed but basically up at the same time.

2 year old and he’s pretty much had a 6:30pm bedtime since a newborn. He goes to bed at 6pm if he’s over tired/unwell. Sleeps until 6am. A later bedtime doesn’t make him sleep later but he barely lasts any later! I like it as it gives us a good evening of peace/tv

I don’t understand how parents have kids up really late - when do they get time away from kids to be adults??

10w old and 3yo both 7pm. Although the 3yo was earlier tonight due to being sick. And then has been up and down ever since!

DS (8) goes to bed at 8.30 up at 6.45 on a school day , this works well for us as DH comes home at 6.30 pm and we have dinner together by 7ish then by the time DS showers and hangs out with DH for a bit it’s 8ish, lights out at 8.30

    Default 7pm bed time

7pm for my 8 year old, between 6 and 630 for my 1 and 3 year olds. They all need the sleep as they are early risers. I need some time out in the evenings too!

I’m amazed by people who can get their kids to bed by 7.

DD is 6, it has always been a battle to get her to sleep. She is normally asleep by about 8.45. When she was 3-4 it was often 9.30!!!! I tried and tried to get her down earlier but it never worked. She is up between 6.30 and 7 most mornings.

My 22 month old goes to sleep at 9pm at the earliest. He just flat out will not sleep. Then he sleeps in and we have late nap, late bed time again. Waking him early just makes him super cranky and overtired which makes getting him to sleep even harder. It’s a bit of a disaster!

We now also have a 3 week old who normally feeds between 12-1am, then we sleep til her next feed which is between 3-5am and then she wakes around 8-9am.

Hoping once the baby can go a bit longer without feeding, we can try to establish some more sensible routine.

It’s difficult as my husband is home from work 5:30-6:30pm and when I haven’t just had a baby I head off to work for an hour or so, returning around 8ish.
