    No photos of DDs. It was taken straight to pathology. The ob described it as the rattiest placenta he had seen. The pathology confirmed that it had significant infarcts (holes) throughout and was very small.

    Out of interest did you get the pathology results back?

    DD3's placenta was the strangest thing my obstetrician had every seen. It as like a donut, very small, and also full of other holes. The remnants were sent to pathology and 100% of cells tested had a chromosomal disorder. I have the full pathology report somewhere and most if it is medical terms that mean nothing to me. The paed thinks DD has a low level mosaic form of the disorder as she has a number of dysmorphic features and developmental delays.

    ETA I don't have pics of any of my placentas, however I do remember that my older kids all had very large placentas, with DD2's being quite enormous. She was a big baby though coming in just shy of 10 pounds.
