    Default Progesterone levels

    Heya,

I was just looking at some old threads and was surprised to remember that I actually had a freeze all after my first stim and my daughter was in fact from a FET and not a fresh transfer ( I know right, how could I forget! )

During my transfer with her I was on 3 progesterone pessaries a day but for the last two FET’s my clinic’s only had me on one. I’m going to bring it up with them as maybe that’s why I’ve had two chemicals

Anyways, I was just wondering what people’s protesterone has been after transfer with a successful pregnancy and also with a chem/BFN. For these two chemicals mines always been around 60-70 I think. I’m not sure what it was with DD.

    Thanks so much
    A data driven gal

Edited. This video talks about a study that was conducted and one pessary a day was shown to have the worst results! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YrCaebON8Iw

My FS likes your progesterone over 30, and I know another who likes it over 35.

For my FET which ended in a chem my progesterone was 87 at 9dp5dt and I was on 3 pessaries a day.

For my successful FET my progesterone was 55 on day of transfer, 80 at 12dp5dt and then ranged from about 80 to 150 for all subsequent tests. This time I was on daily PIO shots plus a pessary at night.

On my 12 transfers my mid luteal and final bloods have ranged from 40-90 when I’m on 6 pessaries a day. On cycles when I’m on PIO plus 3-5 pessaries it is normally over 100 (apart from last cycle). All of my cycles are either fresh ivf or HRT FETs- no natural cycles. On my last bfn cycle I was on PIO and 5 pessaries and it still didn’t reach 100.

On my successful cycle it was 80 at mid luteal and 50 at final bloods (I was only on 6 pessaries) so they put me on PIO at that point and it shot up past 100 towards 200.

Wow so much many numbers. Is this information that your clinics just hand over or do you specifically ask for them? I find my FS doesn't give me much information. Even after my first bt they didn't give me beta numbers

For my first fresh which resulted in my daughter I was on 2 pessaries a day. None for my last FET.

    I always ask.

My progesterone was in the 130-150 range at 4w this pregnancy. I am taking PIO + 400mg pessary. But that’s a HRT cycle so no corpus luteum to produce any progesterone naturally.

That’s so weird of your clinic.. I always ask and they are happy to tell me. It’s our info at the end of the day! With my last two chemicals they’ve had to tell me the levels anyways to explain why it wasn’t viable. I guess if you’re not fussed tho then there’s no reason to ask now

    Latest chemical:

HRT cycle - PIO every second day + one pessary each night.

My clinic only tests at transfer and beta (nothing mid-luteal) and prefers levels to be above 40.

    Day of transfer: 52
Day of beta (10dp5dt): 34 with a HCG of 36.

I insisted on more support for this next cycle. Will take an injection/pessary every hour if I need to.

Oh wow. 34 on the day of beta does seem low. Best of luck. I’d be keen to hear how you go and what they put you on.

    An update for your data!

    This latest FET cycle:
Progesterone regime - 1 x Prolutex injection, 3 x pessaries (increased from just the one last cycle).

Progesterone on day of transfer: 30.6 (bizarrely low despite prog increase, so specialist increased me to 4 pessaries).

    Progesterone 5dp5dt - 56.5 (yay!)

Progesterone day of beta - 47.6

    Thank you!

How low was your progesterone with the chemicals?
