Booking my next appointment with FS and hopefully finding out where it’s going wrong, next stim cycle should be starting late October, let’s hope it’s the last 🤞🏼
I’m so sorry about your BFN. That sucks. Take care of yourself and pour a large glass of wine!

Sorry to hear it's a BFN

I remember you mentioning that PCOS was your diagnosis - did you hyperstim at all during/after your retrieval? And did this transfer happen right after retrieval?

I've got PCOS as well (not a lot symptomatically, just high AMH and occasional long-ish cycle of 33 days), and the one BFN I've had (all others have been chemicals) happened when I did a transfer straight after retrieval. I had mild OHSS and 'm convinced the environment just hadn't calmed down enough before embryo went in.

I hope that you can find some answers from your FS and that your next stim cycle gives you some great results.

Sorry to hear about all of your chemicals I can imagine that would be very difficult to handle.

Surprisingly I wasn’t too bad after my retrieval but but I did have mild ohss symptoms after my ET.
I have the same PCOS symptoms as you which we’ve only discovered recently, were all of your other transfers FET?
Have they given you a reason as to why your transfers resulted in chemicals?

Are you doing another cycle straight away?
We will only do another cycle if there are no normal embryos 🤞

The Fertility Centre seems to be happy so I will be too!

I am getting bloods done every week to ensure there is a rise for the next six weeks.
Congratulations, that’s fantastic news, so happy for you!

My other transfers have been IUI and two other FETs (current one is my third FET). We retrieved 33 eggs originally, but only 3 embryos made it to day five and could be frozen. It can be down to the medication regime, or your own personal hormonal profile, but PCOS embryos are tricky little buggers. It seems like a real delicate balance between getting them to develop appropriately without causing hyperstimulation.

The reason for my chemicals is either a) low progesterone, which might be PCOS-related, or b) some recently diagnosed high NK cells. Or maybe both?

Wow 33 eggs is a crazy amount, I only had 18 retrieved and still managed to get slight hyperstimulation.

Were you aware of the reason why only 3 managed to get to day 5 and frozen? Does PCOS have some kind of effect on egg quality?

Hello everyone. I’ve been lurking in the background for a bit. I’m on my 2ww (we are 4dp5dt) of my first ever IVF cycle. This was a fresh cycle and I managed to get 4 embryos in the freezer from total 8 collected and 7 fertilised. I’ve been permitted to do a frozen cycle straight after this fresh too. But as my periods are regularly between 35-47 days, I am going to ask for a medicated FET cycle, as I often don’t ovulate til around CD22-25 and if we do it natural (like FS wants) it will likely just be cancelled.

Hey stormMum congrats on getting to your 2ww how are you finding everything so far? Are your cycles long due to PCOS?
Let’s hope you get your little bub first go!

Hey Ra1209! No I don’t have PCOS don’t really have anything wrong other than this unexplained secondary infertility. I’ve always had irregular periods.. bloods show I ovulate, it’s just hard to ascertain when, as they vary so much each cycle. I fell pregnant 1st try/ first month ttc dd3 so a bit shocked that I’m having so much trouble this time and now we are even doing ivf tbh.
