    Default Ultrasound indicating pregnancy?

This might seem a bit of an odd post - however I am in need of some advice.[COLOR=#000000][FONT=Verdana]I went for a follow up pelvic ultrasound today due to recurrent ovarian cysts. As I have had a number of these scans, I am familiar with the resulting images. I saw images from today's scan, and they have what appear to be a gestational sac? I have never been pregnant and could really use some advice from some experienced mamas.

I haven’t looked at the image but did you ask the sonographer? Have you made a follow up appointment with the referring Dr? Done a home pregnancy test?

did the sonographer say that it's a sac??? I mean, I saw the sac and the remaining corpus luteum on my scan yesterday. they look the same. it's hard to say what is what without the training.

The sonographer isn't allowed to comment, said I have to speak with my doctor at my follow up. I'll see the doctor next week, but was quite shocked seeing the images. Quite sure it's not my bladder, as I said I have numerous ultrasounds in the past

If it was a sac, you’d be pregnant enough for it to show up on a pregnancy test. So if you have thoughts you might be, then do a test

OMG this story is familiar. This was me a couple of months the ago. Except there was a heartbeat too. The technical told me straight away, showed me the embryo and gave me pics to take home. I would think they would tell you if you’re pregnant? So you would know ASAP to avoid alcohol, etc. Seems a bit weird not to.

Yes the sac and heartbeat were visible. But I wouldn’t know what I was looking at (or in any way suspected i was pregnant- I wasn’t trying) unless the technician explained it.
