Default My first chemical pregnancy - advice please

    Hello

I’ve been off BH a while as my first ICSI gave me my beautiful DD.

Fast forward 4 years and I’m 11dp5dt on a FET. I got a faint positive at 8dp5dt which got darker and then lighter this morning. While I have a faint FRER this morning I have a negative Clear Blue Digital.

My blood test is tomorrow but I just wanted to ask about symptoms. Generally I feel ‘not right’, incredibly bloated and just now my boobs have started killing me. I’ve accepted it’s likely a chemical pregnancy but is it normal for pregnancy symptoms to escalate?

I’m just so over it now and want AF so I can move on. My body feels like it’s very weird atm and I’m only on 1 x pessary Like pregnant, but not either.

Thanks so much in advance x

I had a chemical pregnancy from my first FET in April. I got a squniter on a hpt on 4dp5dt. It then got darker for a couple of days, but never as dark as the control line. Then it started getting lighter. At 9dp5dt my hcg was 47. By 12dp5dt it was 15.

I had some pregnancy symptoms but I am not sure if that was from the progesterone. The symptoms did start to ease a bit though as the lines got lighter. I also just knew it was a chemical.

After my second blood test, I stopped progesterone and AF arrived 3 days later. I went straight into another FET cycle which stuck.

I am so sorry you are going through this. A chemical pregnancy is so stressful and so disappointing. I hope you get some answers soon.

    Hello.

Thank you so much for your reply and congratulations on your pregnancy You must feel so relieved!

Yes, it’s all been very stressful. I had mentally prepared to have a negative with my first FET but for some stupid reason didn’t expect a chem. This journey is always full of nasty surprises!

I’m 12dp5dt and I’ve just had my blood test. I really hope the HCG is super low as they won’t let me do a back to back round with HCG in my system. Fingers crossed 🤞

Just to close this thread for anyone reading along. It was definitely a chemical pregnancy and my HCG was 15. I just need it to get down to 0 and then I can try again. Hurry up please!

    Thank you
Yeah. It was pretty crappy because you actually feel a loss but it’s not a proper one... so then you feel guilty for feeling the loss and then it’s confusing.

    A weird time tbh.
Onwards and upwards! Fingers crossed for this next transfer xx
