Hi sorry i have just seen your message. We are still having some problems! After i wrote this post she eventually went after a good week! i was giving her lots of pureed apricot so think that helped.

As times gone on she has been slowly getting constipated again. I now give her a lot of pears and apricots and have been trying a bit of prune juice mixed in and extra water mixed in with food too. Had to give her coloxyl drops as well as it was just so hard for her to get out and she was crying poor thing. Still experimenting with food as it's not getting much better

Default 6 month old constipated or not?

The original post describes acute constipation - which gets me back to my specialist subject. It's *unhealthy, even in breastfed babies, to have gone for three days let alone a week without `doing the dooey'. Apart from prunes, peaches, apricot, she's old enough now for diluted citric juices - in small medicinal doses like 1 oz - and grapefruit is definitely good for the bowels. Other than that, standard answer - if she hasn't done for over 2 days put a baby-size (= 1 gram) suppository in her. * Intestinal autointoxication is discussed in https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hczbp0-v4kI
