    Default Brisbane midwife/birthing centre/holistic doctor

    Hi all

Husband and I about to start trying. Just moved to Brisbane from interstate and don’t know anyone here.

I’m looking to have a home birth and would like recommendations on midwives in the Mt Gravatt area. Also interested to know as an alternative option if there are birthing centres nearby?

Would also like recommendations on a holistic female GP for ongoing checkups and as a family doctor.

    TIA!!

If you are Mt Gravatt then you would be out of catchment for the Royal women's birth centre.

I went public through the mater hospital and chose midwife group practice model. Second baby I had an amazing water birth and the third I had a shower birth.

Welcome to Brisbane! I work in mt gravatt and see dr Jane Collins at Holland Park medical, she is lovely and she is a mater Mother’s shared care Gp so I can see her from now (pre conception) right though my pregnancy and with baby (when we do get pregnant)

Let me know if you’d like any recommendations for other stuff around the area.
